EU lodges complaint against Bolivia over referendum campaign

The European Union’s delegation to Bolivia lodged a protest with the government for its use of an image of its ambassador, Timothy Torlot, in a referendum campaign that was set to decide if President Evo Morales could stand again in 2019.

Mr Torlot sent a letter to Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca on 12 January 2016 to express 'a formal protest,' said the delegation’s spokesperson, Walter Mur.
