Summary:Joint Declaration adopted by the European Commission, the Council of the European Union and the European Parliament on 15 December 2022, concerning the legislative priorities for the European Union (EU) in 2023 and 2024. Further information:The Joint Declaration sets out a shared vision for the European Union in 2023 and 2024. It highlights the consequences of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, alongside other major challenges such as the climate crisis and overall economic uncertainty. It vows to move forward with the green and digital transitions. Key legislative initiatives are also highlighted, and in particular those seeking to deliver on theĀ European Green Deal, on achieving the digital transition and enhancing the EU's resilience, creating an economy that works for people, making the EU stronger in the world, promoting its way of life, and protecting its democracy and values. The EU institutions also welcome the outcome of theĀ Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE). This Joint Declaration was signed by the heads of each institution on 15 December 2022, and published in the Official Journal on 23 December 2022. |
