EU legislation: Electronic signatures proposal

EU legislation:
Electronic signatures proposal. The Commission has adopted a proposal for a Directive establishing a legal framework for the use of electronic signatures. By laying down minimum rules concerning security and liability the proposal would ensure electronic signatures were legally recognised throughout the EU on the basis of the Single Market principles of free movement of services and home country control.
