EU has ‘immense’ task to be dynamic economy

The UK Chancellor, Gordon Brown, said on 17 February 2003 that Europe faced an 'immense' challenge in its ambition to become the world's most dynamic economy. Mr Brown was speaking at the launch of a (UK) Treasury paper setting out the government's agenda for economic reform in the European Union.
