The Commission has decided which nature conservation projects will receive funding under the LIFE-Nature programme in 1999. 94 projects have been selected and a total of EUR 64.8m has been committed to finance these projects. This year the main beneficiaries are NGOs and public authorities, especially local and regional authorities.
