EU foreign ministers recommend Serbia as candidate

EU Foreign Ministers meeting on the 28 February 2012 recommended that Serbia be given candidate status to join the 27-member bloc. The decision was due to be formally endorsed at the European Council, Brussels, 2 March 2012.
