Organic agriculture bears a high potential for climate change mitigation and adaptation. Future food supply in times of climate change and increasing energy prices will depend on efficient resource use. Sustainable food security requires changes in food consumption patterns.

These were the main conclusions of the lively debate between panel and auditorium on the Organic Day in the European Commission’s Directorate General for the Environment on 20 April 2010.
