EU Council Decision: Motion

The Committee, on 4 June 2008, considered the Council Framework Decision on taking account of convictions in the Member States of the European Union in the course of new criminal proceedings. The second part of the motion dealt with the improvement of co-operation between the special intervention units of the Member States of the European Union. The Committee then moved on to the Council framework decision on the protection of personal data processed under the framework of police and judicial co-operation in criminal matters. The fourth and final part of the motion dealt with cross-border co-operation in combating terrorism and crime.
