EU convention may affect decision over euro entry

During a meeting with Alain Juppé, the former French Prime Minister, Tony Blair, the UK Prime Minister, is reported to have linked the outcome of the work on the Convention on the Future of Europe with a decision in 2003 on whether the UK will hold a referendum to join the single currency.
