EU Budget – MEPs tell Blair the deal is not yet done

Following the deal on the EU budget for 2007-2013 made at the European Council, Brussels, 15-16 December 2005, UK Prime Minister Blair explained to the European Parliament open Conference of Presidents that this was the best possible deal. MEPs warned nevertheless that this was not the end of the story and that further negotiations between the institutions would have to take place.
