Equality in the workplace: MEPs discuss proposals

How to get more women into the workplace was be discussed on 24 January 2007 in the European Parliament's Women's Rights Committee. MEPs will look at a report on a European Commission 'roadmap' for the next 3 years on improving equality in the EU. Among its priorities are steps to make care assistance more accessible for working mothers and eradicating discrimination at work. Going some way to achieving these aims would be a solid start to 2007 which is the 'European Year of Equal Opportunities'.
