Employers and trade unionists must ensure that national discussions on employment policy are better coordinated

with EU-level talks, Social Affairs Commissioner Pádraig Flynn said this week, speaking at the launch of the first annual review of the 'social dialogue'. The system's two-tier approach is designed to ensure that the best national and EU wide solutions are found to employment problems. But Flynn admitted the different 'levels' of talks often ended up producing contradictory results.
