Electronic communications networks and services

The Committee considered a European Commission proposal, published in November 2007, for the establishment of a new European Electronic Communications Market Authority, the aim of which would be to enhance the Commission’s capacity and that of national regulators to ensure that market rules and consumer regulations were applied consistently across the EU.
