The use of EGNOS for applications where safety is critical was the topic of a special forum held at 'Navigation World' in Munich, Germany, in October 2008. 'Navigation World' is part of the annual SYSTEMS trade show. In addition to transport and aviation, the agriculture, mobile communications, and public security sectors are among those expected to use satellite-aided localisation and navigation services. It is etimated that by 2010, about 1.8 billion people will be using satellite navigation. |
