EFSA explains use of its new Food Consumption Database

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on 2 March 2011, published an overview of its first Comprehensive Food Consumption Database, a new source of information on food consumption in the European Union. It also published an evaluation of the FoodEx, the food classification system applied to the development of the EFSA Comprehensive European Food Consumption Database.
