Economic indicators November 2009

This Research Paper series summarises the main economic indicators available for the United Kingdom in November 2009, along with comparisons with other major OECD countries for selected indicators. It includes an article (pii-vi) on 'Comparing recessions', which looks at the current recession and how it compares to the recessions in the early 1980s and early 1990s. It also provides a comparison of the recession in the UK with other countries, including the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Italy and Canada.
