Economic Dialogue and Exchange of Views with the President of the Council (ECOFIN), 13 July 2016

Mr Peter Kažimír, Minister of Finance of Slovakia, participated in the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee of the European Parliament (ECON) meeting on the 13 July 2016 in his capacity as the President of the ECOFIN Council during the Slovak Presidency (July - December 2016).

According to the Treaty of the Union, Member States shall regard their economic policies as a matter of common concern and shall coordinate them within the Council. This briefing covers the Slovak Presidency priorities, the implementation of the Stability and Growth Pact, the Macro-economic Imbalance Procedure, the Country Specific Recommendations and the latest developments in completing the Banking Union.
