ECB alerts eurozone to further rate rises

At a meeting on 2 March 2006, the European Central Bank (ECB) decided to raise interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point to 2.5% - the second change in rates in four months.
The move comes amid fears of rising inflation in the eurozone because of higher oil prices.
