EBRD vows to raise democratic standards among client states

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the multilateral bank for eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, pledged to increase efforts to raise standards of democracy in its client countries at its annual meeting, London, 24 April 2001.
