Diplomats hail speech as reflection of EU viewpoint

European diplomats welcomed proposals announced by US President George W. Bush on 11 February 2004 for policing the global traffic in nuclear material. Diplomats said President Bush's proposals reflected the European Union's own programme for controlling the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
