Dialogue session on the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe on 9 November 2004

The European Economic and Social Committee held a dialogue session on the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe on 9 November 2004. This session, which was organised on the proposal of, and in cooperation with, the Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) of the European Parliament, aimed at gathering the views of representatives of civil society organisations and networks on the Constitutional Treaty. At the session on 9 November, participants were invited to address, in particular, the following two questions: What benefits will the Constitutional Treaty bring to European citizens? What role is there for civil society organisations in the information strategy of citizens on the Constitutional Treaty?
