Spicers Centre for Europe database In October 1998 Centaur Communications Ltd purchased Consultancy Europe Associates who produce the Spicers Centre for Europe Database. As Centaur already owns Lawtel, the UK on-line legal current awareness database this opens up interesting possibilities in the future of moving directly from retrieving abstracts of EU legislation to the UK implementing legislation. Samples of the information contained in Spicers database, which dates back to 1987, can be seen on the Spicers web site at http://www.spicers.co.uk/spicers/ where a selection of new key records are mounted weekly.
