Europa survey

While you were using the Europa server during June and July 1999 you may have taken part in an online survey designed to find out who was visiting the site, the level of satisfaction with it and any suggestions for improvement. Results of the survey are now available at http://europa.eu.int/survey/jun-jul99/results/survey_en.htm/. Some 5619 users responded and though the results are inevitably skewed according to who chose to participate the results nevertheless present an interesting snapshot of current usage. The 20-24 age group accounted for about one fifth of those who replied, while 32% of respondents claimed to be students. EU nationals were responsible for 89% of the returns with the US, Switzerland and Latin America coming high on the list of non-EU countries. Language and nationality breakdowns are also given, together with details of the most used browsers, reasons for consulting Europa, and type of information sought. Subjective views on ease of use, presentation, response time and content were also collated.
