Gateways Further moves towards subsidiarity resulted in the decision to appoint Gateways in the Member States to handle access to Eurobases databases, invoicing in local currency, help desk facilities, and also training. Context Ltd has provided that function for the UK and subcontracted the training to the EIA and EDIT. With the trend towards free information and the changes in responsibility for databases, the Gateways are working now in a very different market and indeed in some countries where their business is less diversified than in the UK their viability is in question. |
