Deutsche Post chief backs opposition’s VAT proposal

Germany's opposition Christian Democratic Union party (CDU) propose, if successful in parliamentary elections in September 2005, increasing VAT to help offset the country's high labour costs. The idea has won the support of Klaus Zumwinkel, Chief Executive of Deutsche Post.
