Summary: Decision adopted by the European Commission in July 2016 on the signing of a contractual arrangement on a public-private partnership for cybersecurity industrial research and innovation (cPPP) between the European Union and the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) association. Further information: The launch of this public-private partnership on 5 July 2016 is part of a series of initiatives aimed at securing the European Union (EU) against cyber-attackes and enhancing cooperation across borders among all sectors active in this field. It was expected to trigger €1.8 billion of investment by 2020. A Communication on strengthening the European Union's cybersecurity industry and single market was also published alongside this initiative. |
