Summary: Council Decision of 15 October 2018 establishing the position to be taken on behalf of the Union regarding the adoption of a decision by the EU-Ghana EPA Committee concerning Croatia's accession to the Union. Further information: The stepping stone Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) between Ghana, of the one part, and the European Community and its Member States, of the other part, establishes an initial framework for a full EPA in accordance with the Cotonou Agreement. The stepping stone EPA has been applied on a provisional basis since 15 December 2016. The EPA Committee is responsible for the administration of all the fields covered by the Agreement and for the achievement of all the tasks mentioned therein. At its second meeting, the EPA Committee is to adopt a decision relating to the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the Union. It is therefore appropriate to establish the position to be taken on behalf of the Union with regard to the adoption of the decision. |
