Cyprus issues two licences for offshore gas exploration

Cyprus licenced Italy's ENI and South Korea's Kogas in January 2013 for offshore gas exploration, in a move that would in the medium term help the Cyprus economy although currently Cyprus was in line for an international bailout because of its exposure to debt-crippled Greece.
