The Council of Europe Heads of State and Government Summit was held 16-17 May 2005 in Warsaw. It defined the Council's future goals and priorities in a new political mandate. It reinforced the Council of Europe's role within the new European environment. The fight against trafficking in human beings, against terrorism, against racism and the strengthening of the European Court of Human Rights and protection of democracy were also discussed during the Summit. |
