Summary: Decision (CFSP) 2021/796 - adopted by the Council of the European Union on 17 May 2021 - introducing amendments to Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 concerning sanctions against cyber attacks threatening the European Union (EU) or its Member States. Further information: Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 establishes a framework for targeted restrictive measures to deter and respond to cyber-attacks with a significant effect which constitute an external threat to the EU or its Member States. It expires on 18 May 2021. This amendment reviews that Decision and extends the restrictive measures set out by it until May 2022. The Act was published in the Official Journal on 18 May 2021. |
