Summary: Decision (CFSP) 2020/1127 adopted by the Council of the European Union on 30 July 2020, introducing a number of amendments to Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 concerning sanctions against cyber attacks threatening the European Union (EU) or its Member States. Further information: Decision (CFSP) 2019/797 establishes a framework for targeted restrictive measures to deter and respond to cyber-attacks with a significant effect which constitute an external threat to the EU or its Member States. The present Decision adds to the list six individuals and three entities responsible for or involved in various cyber-attacks. The sanctions imposed include a travel ban and an asset freeze. In addition, EU persons and entities are forbidden from making funds available to those listed. |
