The annual report provides information on the Council's public register of documents. It shows how the requests for access to documents have evolved and highlights key developments as regards the implementation of the Regulation by the Council in 2012. The report also reviews complaints submitted to the European Ombudsman as well as rulings given by the EU Courts in 2012 under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 in cases relating to access to Council documents.
