Consultation paper on the implementation of Directive 1999/13/EC on the limitation of emissions of volatile organic compounds due to the use of organic solvents in certain activities and installations

This consultation paper covers England and Wales only. It explains how the UK Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the National Assemly for Wales intend to implement the Solvents Emissions Directive (SED) for installations and activities that are subject to regulation under the Directive but are currently not regulated under existing regulatory regimes. The Department carried out a previous consultation in July 2000 on the implementation of the SED for some other processes and installations in England and Wales. Deadline for responses: 13 October 2003.
