This Directive (Directive 2002/30/EC) repeals the so-called Hushkits Regulation and replaces it with an airport based approach to noice management. It came into force on 28 March 2002. Member States must have introduced the legal and administrative provisions necessary to comply with it by 28 September 2003. Deadline for responses to the consultation: end of October 2002.
