Conclusions of the Council and of the representatives of the governments of the Member States meeting within the Council on inclusive societies for young people

Set of conclusions adopted by the Council of the European Union and representatives of Member State representatives on 13 May 2024, setting out targeted measures aimed at promoting equity, inclusion and support for young people across the European Union (EU), particularly those with fewer opportunities.

In its conclusions, the Council acknowledges the challenges that young people face and the importance of facilitating their active participation and inclusion in their communities and in democratic life. It also highlights the need to improve mental well-being and living conditions for all young people. This can be done via inclusive measures that facilitate the meaningful participation of all young people in decision-making and spaces that concern them, especially through youth work.

The conclusions were adopted at a meeting of the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport (EYCS) Council on 13 May 2024, and published in the Official Journal on 27 June 2024.
