Comprehensive overview of support measures for SMEs in all EEA languages

Businesses in the EEA and in the EU candidate countries can now access a database with detailed information about all support measures for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) at national and European level on the Internet. The Support Measures Database (SMIE) provides enterprises with an overview of existing support measures and gives policy makers and others comprehensive information and evaluation of the various support measures that have been designed for SMEs in Europe. The database contains information about national support measures in Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland as well as the EU Member States and the candidate countries. A number of highly successful measures are listed separately in a 'Best Practice' database. The SMIE database is a project under the Multi-annual programme for Enterprises and Entrepreneurship (MAP).
