Competitiveness Council (Internal Market, Industry, Research and Space), 4-5 December 2014

A meeting of Competitiveness Council (Internal Market, Industry, Research and Space) was held on 4-5 December 2014 in Brussels. The agenda included the following items:

+ Conclusions on the role of SMEs regarding industrial competitiveness and on the preparations for the establishement of a roadmap dealing with the challenges and opportunities of European industry;

+ Adoption of its position on proposed review of the package travel directive;

+ Exchange of views on the priorities for further enhancing the internal market;

+ Conclusions on the smart regulation agenda, the strategy for management of customs risks and on the enforcement of intellectual property rights;

+ Adoption of its position on the modernisation of safety requirements related to personal protective equipment and cableway installations.
