Companies shun investment openings

Article reports on a study published in April 2004 by the (UK) Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF). The report, 'Manufacturing in the New Europe', says that an enlarged EU will offer UK companies opportunities in terms of a larger public procurement market, as most of the accession countries will need to make significant environmental improvements to meet EU legislation.
