In November 2014 European President Juncker launched the new European Political Strategy Centre (EPSC), a revamped version of the former Bureau of European Policy Advisers. It provides professional and targeted policy advice to the President. It is organised around six teams: an Economic Team, a Social Affairs Team, a Sustainable Development Team, a Foreign Affairs Team, an Institutional Team and an Outreach and Communication Team.

President Juncker appointed Ann Mettler as Head of the European Political Strategy Centre in December 2014.
