EurActiv reported in September 2015 on the decision from the European Commission not to ask the European Court of Justice to decide on the legality of the investor-state dispute settlement (ISDS) mechanism in free trade agreements.

The ISDS had been a hot topic during negotiations of free trade agreements between the European Union, Canada and the United States.
