Commission fears Greece is ‘deceiving’ itself

While polls in Greece show far-left Syriza party as a likely winner of the general election taking place on 25 January 2015, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker asked EU countries to honour their commitments, regardless of any election result.

Mr Juncker added that 'Europe will continue to support Greece, but it is expected that Athens will stick to the promises made to its partners'.
