Book abstract:

This directory provides a detailed list by department of individuals working within the European Commission. Its aim is to identify European Commission officials within particular areas, whether it be for the preparation of regulations, management of funds or just to find specific information or documentation. The directory has sections for the Commissioners, the Cabinets of the Commissioners, policies departments, external relations, and internal services. The directory also provides a detailed breakdown of each department with name, address, responsibilities, telephone and fax numbers of the officials who have responsibility for the development of Community policies. Maps of the locations of European Commission buildings in Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg are also provided. There is also an alphabetical list of officials by name and an index of Keywordsto aid identification of the correct official to contact.

The book is aimed at universities and anyone who needs to contact the European Commission to find information concerned with the development and evolution of European regulations. It has been compiled by journalists and information professionals who have been active in Brussels over the past 25 years.
