Further information: CINEDAYS was established in 2001 as an idea of celebrating the European cinematography in each of the major European capitals. The European Union (EU) wished to celebrate the vitality of European cinema but also to get young people interested in watching more European films, whether in mainstream cinemas, film clubs or on television, and to encourage them to discover not only the new films of today but, equally, the classics of European cinema. |
