As a part of the ex-post evaluation of monetary family benefits commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youths and the Federal Ministry of Finance, a recent research study by the Ifo Institute examines the impact of child benefit and child allowances on families and discusses the efficiency of such family policy benefits.
