Summary: The imbalance between the costs and benefits of DCFTAs is a call to the EU to display greater thoughtfulness and pragmatism if it does not want to lose support for reforms in its neighbourhood. Association Agreements (AAs), together with Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreements (DCFTAs), are important instruments of the EU´s European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) and are designed to incentivise political and economic reforms towards democracy and the market economy. |
