Speaking on 28 September 2005 the leaders of Germany's opposition Christian Democrats and ruling Social Democrats both stressed the need for 'large-scale reforms' to take centre stage in a coalition government, which seems to increase the likelihood of Germany's two largest political parties forming a grand coalition.
