On 11.7.00 the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) warned the UK government to stand firm against proposals to extend workers' rights during the six-month French presidency of the European Union. The CBI is concerned in particular by the EU draft directive on information and consultation that would force companies employing 50 or more staff to consult with them on a range of company decisions. |
