CBI chief’s anger at EU reform plans

The Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Sir Digby Jones, has criticised European Union proposals to reform company audit committees, saying the planned directive would impose requirements more demanding than the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation in the United States. Sir Digby Jones' criticism was echoed by the Association of British Insurers, a leading trade body.
