MEPs from the European Parliament were due to discuss the controversy surrounding the publication of cartoons satirising the Muslim Prophet Muhammad and the ensuing violence during their plenary session in Strasbourg, February 2006. The events will also be discussed by the European Parliament and counterparts from 10 Mediterranean countries, including Lebanon, Tunisia, Syria and Morocco in March 2006. |
