According to a report published by Caritas Europa in February 2015, more than a third of the population in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Latvia and Hungary were at risk of poverty and social exclusion. Figures also showed that in half of the European Union's 28 member states, at least one in three children live in poverty.
